WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

- Ethan Arroyo

England Aspire & Fil-UK All-Star

My name is Ethan Arroyo, and I'm u18. My experience with Coach Afiz was great.

I've been with him for five years.

He's been me throughout the whole journey.

He's helped me improve my shot, my handle.

And most importantly, he boosts my confidence. Using the skills that I learned during his sessions, I was able to expand my game and use them in regions. I feel like you should come prepared.

You're gonna do a lot of running a lot of shooting.

You know, stamina needs to get up. And also you need to pay attention to detail,

'Training with Way2Work has been incredible for me. After tearing my ACL, I had to go back to basic skill work to build back up to elite level. It was very hard mentally for me, but Afiz was able to break things down so easily and explain as well as show me how I can improve on the drills. His patience and confidence in me has made me become a better basketball player.'

' In addition, I believe he is one of the only trainers to make someone love and be able to do ball-handling drills for a whole session.'

- Afra Khalil

D1 NBL

My journey with Afiz started about 7 or 8 years ago, and since then, I’ve seen constant improvement in my game. What he brings to the table is unmatched, whether it’s his detailed analysis of my performance or setting up different challenges to push me further. Afiz’s sessions are intense and focused; he doesn’t just aim in the dark and hope for the best. Every session is precise, with a specific goal tailored to each player, and it’s always challenging. I’ve never felt that his sessions didn’t benefit me.

We also talk a lot about basketball and have our disagreements (all healthy), but it's always for the bigger picture, with his focus constantly on improving my game. My journey with Afiz has been very successful, and I've seen a lot of growth since we started. I hope to continue improving in the years to come.

Beyond basketball, Afiz has been a life guide. He’s seen me grow from a teenager to an adult, from a young boy to a grown man, from a school student to a university graduate. He’s always available whenever I need advice, and he never asks for anything in return. I appreciate him deeply, as he’s truly been an older brother to me—not just in basketball but in life. I wish the best for Afiz in whatever field he chooses to bless, because his unselfish work ethic and attitude deserve that.

"Afiz's coaching has been invaluable to our daughter. He first introduced her to basketball at age 6, and since then, her technique and overall game knowledge have rapidly developed under his guidance. Afiz pays meticulous attention to detail and shares his extensive game knowledge with his players.

He empowers them to make sound decisions during games and take responsibility for the outcomes of their training.

Afiz instills a strong work ethic in his players by upholding the behaviours he expects from them and by investing in them as individuals, ensuring they trust him."

HOOPERSVOICE

"When I started training with Way2Work, I was afraid. It's normal, right? Your game is like your baby, and trusting someone else with it is scary—at least to me.

Despite my fears, I decided to go under W2W's wing, with the main focus on improving my handle and footwork.

Afiz and I documented our workouts, and over the summer, I saw my handle and footwork improve by leaps and bounds!

On top of that, I lost a lot of weight, going from almost 100kg to 88kg! But Afiz doesn't just care about performance on the court; he's concerned about off-court factors too because it all adds up.

Everyone has their own way to work, and I found mine working with W2W."
